Major League Soccer revealed the 13 names added to Veljko Paunovic’s squad for the All-Star game against Real Madrid on August 2.

Paunovic filled 11 spots, including two of his own players from the Chicago Fire, Dax McCarty and Johan Kappelhof. His selections also included Toronto FC‘s Jozy Altidore and the LA Galaxy‘s Giovani Dos Santos.

Atlanta United defender Michael Parkhurst, 33, is the most experienced player on the roster after Paunovic selected him for his fifth All-Star appearance.

MLS commissioner Don Garber used his two picks for breakout United States national team stars Kellyn Acosta of FC Dallas, and Sporting Kansas City striker Dom Dwyer.

The most notable absentee was the Seattle SoundersClint Dempsey, who was an All-Star in each of his past three full seasons since returning to MLS from Tottenham Hotspur.
